# Xnode Cortx

## What it does
- Routes requests to multiple AI providers (GPT, Claude, Gemini, open models)
  through one governed endpoint, with production and test separated.
- Applies real-time guardrails on every request: allow, warn or block, covering
  prompt injection, PII exposure, jailbreaks and unsafe content.
- Records an immutable, tamper-evident audit trail of every AI interaction.
- Attributes spend by user, team, agent and model, with role-based budgets.
- Governs tool access through an MCP gateway: every call authenticated,
  authorised and logged.
- Enforces role-based access control down to the data-object level.
- Orchestrates, evaluates and traces AI agents end to end.

## Where it runs
On-premises, air-gapped, or in the customer's own cloud tenant. Data does not
leave the customer's boundary in order to be governed.

## Who uses it
Regulated industries: banking and capital markets, insurance, healthcare and
public sector. Deployments include a global trading firm running air-gapped
on-premises for 400 users, an asset manager in its own Azure tenant, and a
public sector deployment.
